Three suspected robbers were lynched by an irate mob in Jomvu, Mombasa, on Wednesday night after a dramatic turn of events following a robbery. The suspects had allegedly lured a woman through an online dating app, only to rob her of cash and valuables while armed with knives.
The woman, who had boarded a hired salon car in Bamburi, was driven through Nyali to Jomvu, where she raised an alarm after the gang abandoned the vehicle. The car’s owner, using a tracking device, traced the vehicle to Jitoni area, prompting the gang to flee.
