Meanwhile, in a separate tragic incident in Soweto, Kayole, Nairobi, a 70-year-old man lost his life after falling from a stool while repairing the roof of a structure. The deceased, identified as Joseph Ogal, was working alone on the third floor of an apartment when he slipped and fell headfirst onto the floor.
Witnesses reported that Ogal had been contracted to repair a chicken house when the accident occurred. Unfortunately, he was working without any assistance or safety equipment, which may have contributed to the fatal fall. His body was discovered hours later, with visible injury marks on the back of his head.
Emergency responders and the police arrived at the scene, but he had already succumbed to his injuries. The body was moved to the mortuary as investigations into the incident continue. Authorities have urged workers, especially those involved in construction and repairs, to prioritize safety measures to prevent similar tragedies.
Both incidents have left communities in shock, with residents calling for increased security measures and safety awareness to prevent such unfortunate occurrences in the future.
