Kirinyaga Women Representative Launches Foundation to Enhance Education

Kutus, Kirinyaga County – In a significant step towards improving education for vulnerable children, Kirinyaga County Women Representative Jane Njeri Maina has officially launched the ‘Mama Na Kazi’ Foundation (MNK Foundation). The foundation aims to provide scholarships and support to pupils in need, ensuring they have access to quality education.

The MNK Foundation is a pivotal component of the MP’s Tupange Kesho programmes, which are funded through the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF) kitty. The launch event, held at Kutus Primary School, was graced by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and successfully raised over Sh16 million. These funds will be instrumental in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on quality education, decent work, and economic growth within Kirinyaga County.

Deputy President Gachagua commended the initiative, highlighting its potential to transform the lives of countless Kenyans who struggle to access education and develop their talents. “This foundation is key to changing the lives of many who are unable to access quality education.
