A 45-year-old mother in Texas is facing charges after allegedly entering her child’s middle school and threatening to “shoot up” the school because her child had been bullied. Cicerly Nicole Walker has been charged with one count of felony terroristic threat. According to police reports, on January 30, around 11:30 a.m., officers were called to Hoffman Middle School in the Aldine Independent School District about an unauthorized individual on campus.
Upon arrival, officers met with the school’s assistant principal, who explained that Walker had entered the school grounds without permission, disrupting the environment. Surveillance footage revealed that Walker had entered through a locked door, following a student who was granted entry. The school clerk quickly realized that Walker was not authorized to be on campus and contacted the principal.
Two 12-year-old students reported to police that Walker was loudly yelling and causing a disturbance in the hallway. The situation escalated when Walker entered the school cafeteria and began approaching the students. One of the 12-year-old girls told officers that Walker asked her if she and others had been bullying her child. The student further reported that Walker threatened to return to the school and “shoot up” the campus. The student and several others present in the cafeteria were reportedly terrified, with the situation causing panic and distress among those who heard the threat.
Both 12-year-old girls stated that many other students in the cafeteria heard Walker’s threatening words, which led to widespread fear. The students were concerned for their safety and believed that Walker posed a genuine threat. School officials confirmed that Walker’s child attended the school, and the photo of Walker was on file. When shown the photo, both of the students positively identified Walker as the person who made the threat.
Walker’s past criminal history was also uncovered when officers ran her name through the police system. Court records revealed that she had been previously booked into Harris County Jail on charges including evading arrest, verbal harassment, driving while intoxicated, and unlawfully carrying a weapon.
The alleged incident raises serious concerns about the safety and security of school campuses. The threat made by Walker, which involved a violent act, sent shockwaves through the school community and prompted immediate action from both school and law enforcement officials. The severity of her alleged threat has led to her being charged with felony terroristic threat, a serious offense that carries significant legal consequences.
In the wake of the incident, police continue to search for Walker, who remains at large. The case highlights the importance of maintaining security protocols on school campuses, as well as the need for swift responses to threats of violence. School administrators, teachers, and law enforcement are working together to ensure that students feel safe in their learning environments.
As investigations continue, the safety of students remains a priority, and authorities are focused on holding those responsible for threats of violence accountable. The situation also serves as a reminder of the growing concerns surrounding bullying and the potential for escalation in school environments, emphasizing the need for effective intervention and prevention strategies to ensure the well-being of all students.
