A man is on the run after the murder of his wife in a village in Koibatek, Eldama Ravine, Baringo County. Detectives are searching for the suspect for interrogation following the incident that occurred on March 25.
The body of the victim, Mercy Cheposkony Chirchir, was discovered in her house in Tolmo village. Authorities reported that she had sustained head injuries inflicted by a sharp object. The body was moved to Eldama Ravine Sub-County Hospital, where it awaits an autopsy. Investigators are yet to establish the motive behind the murder.
In a separate incident in Nyamutambe village, Narok, a man identified as Mosambi Rioba, 56, was killed by someone known to him. According to police reports, the suspect strangled the deceased before fleeing the scene. The body was later found on his farm, with preliminary investigations suggesting a land dispute as the possible motive. The body has been moved to the mortuary for an autopsy as authorities continue their search for the suspect.
Meanwhile, in Jomvu, Mombasa, a man lost his life following a violent altercation. Reports indicate that the deceased had an argument with a friend, which escalated into a physical fight. The victim sustained multiple injuries and was later found unconscious at the scene.
