A woman has tragically died following a stabbing incident believed to be linked to a domestic dispute in Kitale Town. The victim, identified as Faith Mukhwana, succumbed to injuries sustained during the attack, which took place at her residence. She passed away on April 7 while undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit of a hospital in the town.
Authorities reported that the assailant, believed to be known to the deceased, fled the scene shortly after the incident. Investigations are underway, with detectives indicating that they have credible leads that may lead to the arrest of the suspect. In Langas, Eldoret, a 70-year-old man named Alex Madekwa was found dead in his rental house. When police responded to the report, they found the body with no visible signs of injury. The cause of death remains unknown, and the body has been taken to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue for a postmortem examination.
Another incident was reported in Butere, Kakamega County, where the body of a 24-year-old man, Wilson Andat, was discovered lying on the roadside. The circumstances surrounding his death are still unclear, and investigators are awaiting autopsy results to determine the cause.
In Turkana County’s Lodwar area, an 85-year-old man, Kooya Lokichar, collapsed and died. Authorities were called to the scene, and the body was moved to a local mortuary. Similarly, in the same locality, a woman identified as Pauline Ambani was reported to have collapsed and died inside her rental house in the Kambi Mawe area. Her body was also taken to a mortuary as police launched investigations into the sudden death.
Meanwhile, in Kitengela, Kajiado County, a man collapsed and died by the roadside. Members of the public who noticed the body informed the authorities, who then moved it to a mortuary. The man’s identity had not yet been confirmed at the time of the report, and an autopsy is expected to be carried out to determine the cause of death.
In all these cases, police have maintained that investigations are ongoing, and autopsies will play a key role in clarifying the causes of death. Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity or information that may be relevant to these incidents.
