Media Personality Patricia Kihoro Loses Her Father, Wanyeki Kihoro

The Kenyan entertainment industry is mourning the loss of a beloved figure, Wanyeki Kihoro, father to renowned media personality Patricia Kihoro. Wanyeki passed away on July 10, 2024, leaving behind a legacy cherished by many.

In a heartfelt statement, Patricia expressed her deep sorrow, describing her father as her best friend and a significant influence in her life. “My heart breaks over and over again every single day. And I don’t think it’ll ever stop. It’s been real, Dad, you truly were my homie. Thank you for everything,” she said, sharing a personal moment of their bond. “Me: I love you, Dad. Dad: Asante.”

The Kihoro family announced that the funeral service would be held on Friday at their family home in Karima. The exact date of the burial will be communicated at a later time, allowing friends and family to come together and honor Wanyeki’s life.

The family’s statement highlighted his role as a son, husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a steadfast friend to many. The statement read, “We, the Kihoro family, announce the passing of our beloved Wanyeki. Son of the late Domenic Kihoro and Agatha Wangechi Kihoro. Husband to Vickie, father to CJ, Jomo and Patricia Kihoro. Brother to the late Wairimu, Nduta, Wanjiru, Joe and Wakiuru. Uncle, cousin, grandfather, great-grandfather and steadfast friend to many.”

Patricia Kihoro, known for her multi-faceted career as a singer, songwriter, actress, radio presenter, reality TV personality, content creator, influencer, and YouTuber, has garnered immense support from Kenyans and her fans during this difficult time.
