Medlab Asia and Asia Health 2024 are gearing up to host healthcare leaders and professionals in Thailand, creating a vibrant arena for showcasing cutting-edge products, technologies, and innovations in medical laboratories and devices. Scheduled at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center from July 10 to 12, this event will also feature one of Asia’s largest international medical conferences.
This gathering promises to be a pivotal moment for entrepreneurs looking to expand their networks and seize opportunities amidst the evolving landscape of Thailand’s medical sector and broader Asian markets. With an anticipated attendance exceeding 10,000 visitors, organizers aim to achieve a substantial trade value of at least 1,640 million baht.
Kanyarat Kuysuwan, Deputy Director of the Bureau of Medical Hub Industry Promotions at Thailand’s Department of Health Service Support, emphasized the country’s ambition outlined in the Thailand Vision. This vision aims to elevate Thailand into a global industrial hub, particularly spotlighting the medical and healthcare industry as a pivotal sector for attracting international investments and tourists.
“To fully unlock the potential of Thailand’s medical and health industry,” Kuysuwan stated, “entrepreneurs must continuously pursue development, stay abreast of modern academic knowledge, and innovate to enhance competitiveness.”
Rungphech Chitanuwat, Regional Portfolio Director – ASEAN at Informa Markets, highlighted the event’s past success and future prospects. “In 2023, Medlab Asia and Asia Health achieved a trading value of approximately 1,312.5 million baht,” he noted. “With ongoing investments in healthcare technology expected to reach USD 100 billion by 2025 in the ASEAN region, this platform becomes crucial for advancing medical services and fostering sustainable growth.”
Chitanuwat emphasized that the event, featuring over 350 exhibitors from 28 countries, will facilitate invaluable networking opportunities, knowledge exchange, and updates on the latest medical advancements. It underscores Medlab Asia and Asia Health’s pivotal role in shaping ASEAN’s medical landscape and reinforcing Thailand’s position as an international health hub.
