Moi Girls High School Eldoret is celebrating a remarkable improvement in the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results. The school achieved a significant leap from the previous year, with 32 students attaining straight A’s compared to only seven in 2023. A total of 417 candidates sat for the exams at the school, and 100 of them scored A- or better, reflecting the students’ dedication and hard work.
Principal Juliana Kirui expressed her excitement over the impressive results, attributing the success to the teamwork and commitment of both the staff and students. She thanked the school board, teachers, and candidates for their efforts in achieving the outstanding performance. “We are thrilled with the results, which have exceeded last year’s achievements. It’s a reflection of the hard work and determination of our candidates,” Kirui remarked.
Joy Busolo Esendi, one of the top-performing students who scored an A with 83 points, credited her success to the unwavering support from both her teachers and parents. “I am grateful to my teachers and parents for the continuous support they provided. Their encouragement played a huge role in my success,” Joy said. Inspired by her mother’s ongoing illness, Joy plans to pursue a degree in medicine to help others in need, particularly her mother and other Kenyans.
In a similar vein, Kapsabet Boys High School, another top performer, also saw exceptional results. The school achieved 65 A’s, one of the highest in the country, as students and teachers alike celebrated the success. Chief Principal Kipchumba Maiyo praised the candidates for their dedication and hard work. “It’s the hard work and commitment of our candidates that has led to these results. We remain committed to ensuring academic excellence,” Maiyo said.
Both Kirui and Maiyo expressed gratitude to God for the good results, marking the success as a collective effort that reflected the schools’ values of academic excellence and teamwork.
