MP Joshua Kimilu Urges School Principals to Keep Students in School Despite Fee Challenges

Kaiti MP Joshua Kimilu has made a heartfelt appeal to secondary school principals in his constituency, urging them not to send students home due to unpaid fees. Speaking at a fundraising event for Mukuyuni Catholic Church held at Mukuyuni Primary School on Sunday, Kimilu assured the school administrators that financial relief is on the way.

Kimilu highlighted his commitment to education by revealing that he has recently completed the disbursement of bursaries to college students and is now focusing on secondary school students. This move, he believes, will help mitigate the financial strain on schools and ensure that no student misses out on their education due to economic hardships.

“I have finished giving bursaries to students in colleges; now I have initiated the disbursement of money to students in secondary schools to pay their fees. I therefore urge principals in my area to allow students to continue with their learning,” Kimilu stated. His words were met with appreciation from the community, reflecting the widespread concern over the accessibility of education during tough economic times.

In addition to addressing educational concerns, Kimilu also touched on infrastructure development within his constituency. He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that every home in Kaiti is connected to electricity. “I will ensure every home is connected to electricity, since that one is my docket,” reiterated Kimilu, highlighting his broader vision for development and improved living standards for his constituents.

The MP’s proactive approach in both education and infrastructure demonstrates his dedication to addressing the needs of his community comprehensively. By focusing on bursaries for students and enhancing basic amenities like electricity, Kimilu aims to create a conducive environment for both learning and living.
