London-based tech company Nothing is gearing up to unveil its latest smartphone under the CMF sub-brand the CMF Phone 2 Pro in India on April 28, 2025. The device is set to make waves with its impressive camera setup and gaming-centric features, continuing CMF’s trend of bold design and high value.
Headlining the camera system is a 50MP main sensor with a 1/1.57-inch size, touted as the largest in its segment, promising improved light capture and enhanced detail. Complementing the main camera are an 8MP ultra-wide lens with a 119.5-degree field of view, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom a first in this category, according to the company.
The design of the CMF Phone 2 Pro mirrors the minimalist aesthetics of its predecessor while being ultra-slim and lightweight. The phone’s bold orange hue and signature CMF styling showcase the brand’s dedication to colour, material, and finish the very ethos behind the CMF name.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, which brings up to 10% faster CPU and 5% better graphics performance compared to the CMF Phone 1. It also includes MediaTek’s 6th-gen NPU with 4.8 TOPS of AI computing power, which boosts both photography and smart processing.
The CMF Phone 2 Pro will likely house a 5,000mAh battery and comes with a charger in the box, marking a first for a Nothing smartphone. It is also optimized for mobile gaming, with features like 120FPS BGMI gameplay, 1,000Hz touch sampling rate, and over 53% network boost, signaling a clear push towards gaming excellence.
Expected to debut alongside the CMF Buds 2, the Phone 2 Pro follows CMF’s inaugural launch on July 2, 2024, where it introduced its first smartphone, earbuds, and smartwatch. With an emphasis on design, performance, and sustainability, the CMF Phone 2 Pro aims to deliver a premium smartphone experience at an accessible price point.
