Nyanza Region Music Festival Set to Showcase Talents Early Next Month

Kisumu County is set to come alive early next month as the Nyanza Region Music Festival for both primary and secondary schools kicks off. Scheduled from July 8 to 14, 2024, the festival will gather young talents from various counties including Siaya, Homa Bay, Kisumu, Migori, Kisii, and Nyamira.

The festival will be hosted at three notable venues: Kisumu Girls, Arya School, and MM Shah School. Each venue will feature different categories of events, promising a diverse and entertaining experience for all attendees. Participants will compete in a variety of performances including choral French, German, and Arabic verses, as well as dances and songs. The competition is expected to be fierce, with each school aiming to bring their best performances to the stage.

Success at the Nyanza Region Music Festival will earn winners the opportunity to compete at the national level. The Kenya Music Festival, a highly anticipated national event, will take place at Moi Girls High School in Eldoret from August 2 to 14, 2024. This annual festival, organized by the Ministry of Education (MoE), aims to showcase students’ talents in music, dance, and elocution.
