Otiende Amollo To Head UK’s Election Observation Mission

Rarieda Member of Parliament Otiende Amollo announced on Wednesday that he will head the United Kingdom’s Election Observation Mission. This mission is scheduled to commence on Thursday, July 4.

Otiende Amollo expressed his honor at being chosen to lead this prestigious mission, which includes representatives from 19 states and territories across the globe. These regions encompass a diverse range of countries, including Kenya, Malawi, St Lucia, the State of Alderney, New South Wales, Seychelles, Trinidad and Tobago, the State Assembly of Jersey, and Grenada.

The mission’s composition highlights a global commitment to fostering democratic processes and ensuring free and fair elections. Besides the aforementioned nations, other participating entities are Sri Lanka, the Parliament of Turks and Caicos, Malta, Lesotho, Mauritius, the Parliament of Kitts & Nevis, the State of Deliberation, Guernsey, the Parliament of St Lucia, the Parliament of Anguilla, and the United Kingdom itself.

In his announcement, Otiende Amollo articulated his enthusiasm for this new role, stating, “I am deeply honored to have been chosen to lead the UK’s Election Observation Mission.
