Pastor Ng’ang’a Charges Congregants KSh 1,000 for a Bottle of Water

Controversial cleric Pastor James Ng’ang’a has ignited a firestorm online after a video surfaced showing him demanding KSh 1,000 from his congregants for bottles of water.

In the viral video, Pastor Ng’ang’a is seen preaching before abruptly pausing to instruct his church members to pay KSh 1,000 for each bottle of water he distributed.

“I want to see. I have given you water. And you will pay for it, each person, KSh 1,000. Everyone owes me. Bring KSh 1,000. Bring my money. You have angered me. You cannot drink my water for free,” he declared sternly.

He even went further, saying, “If you don’t have, give your shoes. If you don’t have, don’t sit in the front row, sit at the back.”

The video has sparked outrage among netizens, who criticized the pastor for extorting money from his congregation and shaming those who genuinely couldn’t afford to pay.
