Police Launch Manhunt for Suspects Who Attacked Officer and Stole Gun During Bondo Protests

Police in Bondo Sub-county have initiated a manhunt for suspects who attacked and injured a police officer, subsequently stealing his gun during last Tuesday’s anti-government protests in the town. The incident has escalated concerns over security and the increasing violence associated with the ongoing demonstrations.

According to local authorities, the officer was on duty managing the protests when he was attacked by a group of individuals. The assailants inflicted injuries on the officer and managed to seize his firearm before fleeing the scene. The injured officer was immediately taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment and is reported to be in stable condition.

The Bondo Sub-county police have condemned the attack, emphasizing the seriousness of the crime and the potential risks posed by the stolen weapon. “We are treating this incident with the utmost urgency.
