Polygon Expands Digital Out-of-Home Network to 11 African Countries

Polygon, South Africa’s largest programmatic digital out of home (DOOH) publisher network, has announced a significant expansion across the African continent. This strategic move brings Polygon closer to its goal of providing marketers with a seamless entry point into the most extensive DOOH inventory network in Africa.

Starting in June, Polygon will extend its offerings to advertisers in Namibia, Botswana, and Zambia. By August, the network will further expand to include Mauritius, Ghana, and Kenya. The ambitious growth plan will continue towards the end of the year with the addition of screens in Nigeria, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Angola.

Remi du Preez, Managing Director at Polygon, highlighted that the initial roll-out in June and the subsequent expansions are strategically located at petrol station forecourts. These locations, operating under the Vivo brand, are known for their high dwell times and ability to capture the attention of consumers, making them prime spots for advertising. This expansion is made possible through Polygon’s collaboration with media owner Oasis Digital Networks, which holds the rights to establish sites at these petrol stations.

“Forecourts are renowned among advertisers for their high dwell times and attention-capturing displays,” Du Preez explained. “Our partnership with Oasis Digital Networks allows us to leverage these prime locations, ensuring our clients’ advertisements achieve maximum visibility and impact.”

Polygon’s expansion into these 11 African countries marks a significant milestone in the DOOH landscape. Advertisers will now have access to a more extensive and diverse audience across the continent, enabling them to tailor their campaigns with greater precision and reach.

As the DOOH industry continues to evolve, Polygon’s innovative approach and strategic partnerships position it as a leader in the market. The company’s commitment to expanding its network and enhancing its service offerings demonstrates its dedication to providing unparalleled value to its clients.

As the year progresses, all eyes will be on Polygon as it continues to roll out its network and solidify its position as the leading DOOH publisher network in Africa.
