President William Ruto has officially received the results for the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams, ahead of their release to the public on Thursday morning. The results were presented to the Head of State during a briefing at State House by Education Cabinet Secretary, Migos Ogamba, in the presence of Principal Secretary for Basic Education, Belio Kipsang.
In his remarks, President Ruto took the opportunity to highlight the continuous improvements within Kenya’s education system, emphasizing key areas that have contributed to the upward trend in academic performance. The President expressed satisfaction with the strides made in enriching the curriculum, increasing teacher recruitment, and enhancing the quality of learning materials and school facilities across the country.
“We are glad that our education system keeps improving as we enrich the curriculum, hire more teachers, and equip our schools with more learning materials and facilities,” President Ruto remarked. He acknowledged that these efforts are directly linked to the overall better performance witnessed in schools nationwide.
The President also pointed out the encouraging rise in the enrollment and completion rates for girls, underscoring the government’s commitment to fostering inclusivity and ensuring that all learners, regardless of gender, have equal access to quality education. This progress is in line with the broader goals of President Ruto’s administration to transform Kenya’s educational sector and equip students with the necessary skills to thrive in the modern world.
As the results are set to be made public, the education sector remains optimistic that the ongoing reforms will continue to bear fruit, producing a generation of students who are not only academically proficient but also equipped with the skills required for success in an increasingly competitive global landscape. The government remains committed to sustaining this positive trajectory through further investments in education.
The official release of the 2024 KCSE results will be closely followed by celebrations and discussions surrounding the performance of candidates across the country.
