Njoro Sub-County in Nakuru County has received a significant boost in its educational infrastructure, thanks to the generosity of President William Ruto. On Monday, July 15, 2024, President Ruto donated three school buses to Darugu Primary School, Gwataniru Secondary School, and Migito Excel Secondary School. The donation aims to enhance the academic activities and overall school experience for the students of these institutions.
The handover ceremony, held in Njoro, was attended by President Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. The President personally handed over the keys to the head teachers of the three schools, emphasizing the importance of using the buses strictly for educational purposes.
“The buses are very important to educational institutions, and that is the main reason I donated them to these three schools,” President Ruto stated. He further urged the students to concentrate on their studies to secure a brighter future. “I urge students to fully concentrate on their academic work to ensure that they achieve good results that will better their future.”
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua echoed the President’s sentiments, urging both primary and secondary school learners to respect their parents and teachers. He highlighted the significant investment parents make in their children’s education and encouraged students to strive for excellence to make their parents proud and motivate them to continue supporting their education.
“Parents greatly invest in your education; hence, you should achieve good results that will make them happy and encourage them to continue investing in your education,” Gachagua remarked.
The donation of the buses is a substantial step towards improving the transportation infrastructure for the schools, enabling students to participate more actively in academic and extracurricular activities. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to supporting educational institutions and enhancing the quality of education in the region.
The residents of Njoro Sub-County have expressed their gratitude for the donation, recognizing the positive impact it will have on the students’ academic journey. The new buses are expected to facilitate better access to educational resources and opportunities, contributing to the overall development of the students and the community.
As the buses begin to serve their intended purpose, it is hoped that they will inspire students to work harder and achieve academic excellence, fulfilling President Ruto’s vision of a better future through education.
