Quiver Lounge in Kitengela has suspended its manager following allegations of sexual harassment. Peter Mbugua, the owner, described the situation as “disturbing” and confirmed an ongoing internal investigation, along with police involvement.
The allegations came to light after a TikTok video by a user named Kareh went viral. In the video, she accused the manager of demanding sexual favours from female bartenders in exchange for promotions and better working conditions, threatening to fire those who refused.
In response, Mbugua stated that the lounge disassociates itself from such acts and has reinstated some dismissed staff as investigations continue. He emphasized the lounge’s commitment to cooperating with law enforcement to address the issue.
Nominated Senator Gloria Orwoba has also pledged support for the investigation.
