Webuye East MP Martin Wanyonyi Defends Construction of Makemo Technical Training Institute

Webuye East Member of Parliament, Martin Wanyonyi, has spoken out against leaders who are politicizing the construction of Makemo Technical Training Institute. Addressing attendees at St Teresa Special School for mentally challenged students in Webuye, Wanyonyi emphasized that all necessary procedures have been properly followed, and construction is currently in progress.

The MP expressed frustration with certain leaders from Webuye who he claims are actively attempting to derail the development of the region’s first technical training institute. “The government has already disbursed KSh10 million to kick start the construction,” Wanyonyi announced, reaffirming the project’s legitimacy and progress.

In addition to addressing the controversy surrounding the technical institute, Wanyonyi also demonstrated his commitment to the education sector by issuing a cheque to cover the school fees of 102 mentally challenged students.
