Director Phil Pays Tribute to Protest Victims

Multi-award-winning film director and scriptwriter Philip Karanja, known as Director Phil, has expressed profound sorrow over the tragic loss of lives during recent protests against the Finance Bill. The demonstrations, known as the Reject Finance Bill protests, occurred across Kenya and reportedly turned deadly in the Githurai 45 area, where innocent individuals were allegedly shot by the police.

In a heartfelt tribute posted on social media, Director Phil honored the courage of those who participated in the protests, emphasizing their unwavering commitment to justice, even at the cost of their young lives being abruptly ended through violent means.
