WHO Concerned About Escalating Health Crisis in West Bank

The World Health Organization (WHO) has expressed serious concern over the escalating health crisis in the West Bank, intensified by ongoing violence and movement restrictions. The conflict in Gaza has resulted in 521 Palestinian deaths and over 5,200 injuries, overwhelming healthcare facilities. Additionally, WHO has reported 480 attacks on health infrastructure, severely impacting health services.

Compounding the crisis, a financial shortfall due to withheld tax revenues has further debilitated the health system. WHO urges immediate protection for civilians and healthcare facilities, stressing the importance of adhering to international humanitarian law to alleviate the crisis.
