Restoration of Kiambuthu Wetland Launched by Environment Cabinet Secretary

Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya has initiated the restoration of Kiambuthu Wetland in Embu town. This event, held on Wednesday, was part of the national celebrations for World Environment Day at the University of Embu grounds.

Tuya was accompanied by Environment and Climate Change PS Festus Ng’eno and was hosted by Embu County leadership, including Governor Cecily Mbarire. The restoration effort underscores the government’s commitment to environmental conservation and climate change mitigation.
