Size 8: Why I Prefer to Be Called Evangelist, Not Prophet

Renowned artist and pastor Size 8 clarified her preferred designation in the ministry, emphasizing her identity as an evangelist rather than a prophet. This distinction is significant for Size 8, who has been actively involved in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Size 8, known for her musical talent and pastoral work, was keen to highlight the importance of her role in evangelism. She explained, “I’m not a prophet; let me say that I am an evangelist. Because I love spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. That’s why wherever I go, I don’t tell people because I’m perfect, I speak about Jesus because the greatest gift I can give you as a human being is Jesus Christ, who has given me faith.”

Her preference to be identified as an evangelist stems from her passion for sharing the message of Christ and her commitment to personal humility. Evangelism, in her view, is about spreading the gospel and encouraging others to embrace faith, rather than focusing on prophetic roles that often involve predicting or revealing future events. By choosing this title, Size 8 aligns herself with the core mission of evangelism—bringing people closer to Jesus through love and testimony rather than through prophetic revelations.

The conversation also touched on why Size 8 has been less active in music recently. The artist shared that her health has been a significant factor in this shift. She revealed, “My body somewhat gave up,” indicating that her physical well-being had declined, prompting her to take a step back from her music career. This period of reduced musical activity is a result of her need to focus on her health and well-being, rather than a decline in her passion for music or ministry.

Despite the reduced frequency of her music releases, Size 8 remains a prominent figure in the gospel community. Her decision to slow down is a testament to her dedication to maintaining her health so that she can continue her work in both music and ministry in the long term.

In addition to her ministry work, Size 8 has also publicly addressed her personal life, particularly her relationship with her partner, Dj Mo. Although the couple has claimed to be separated, Size 8 has praised Dj Mo for his role as a father. She acknowledged the challenges he faced growing up without a father figure and lauded his efforts to be a great father to their children. Size 8 noted, “Mo was raised solely by his mother and missed the presence of a father figure during his childhood, but he has made a great effort to be an excellent father to our children.” This acknowledgment underscores her appreciation for Dj Mo’s dedication and commitment to his role as a parent, despite the difficulties he faced in his own upbringing.

As she continues to navigate her dual roles, Size 8 remains an influential figure in both the gospel and music communities, balancing her personal well-being with her passion for spreading the message of Christ.
