A chaotic scene unfolded when two tourist couples clashed over a viewing spot near Mount Everest, captured in footage that went viral. The incident reportedly occurred on June 25 at the 8848 Viewing Platform in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. According to
the Independent, tensions flared as two groups of tourists, believed to be Chinese, vied for space at the iconic site.
Initially prompted to pose together for a photo beside the Everest Elevation Monument, the situation quickly deteriorated when the couples began arguing over the best spots for viewing. Newsflare reported that the altercation escalated into a physical brawl,
with footage showing the men grappling and exchanging punches on the platform. Amid the scuffle, one woman attempted to separate them while another joined in, kicking at one of the men.
Authorities from the Everest Border Police Camp eventually intervened, leading to the detention of all four individuals involved for further investigation.
