Jenna Longoria, a women’s health and hormone expert from outside Austin, reported that she was removed from a United Airlines flight at San Francisco International Airport on June 26 after she mistakenly addressed a crew member by the wrong pronoun. Longoria stated that the incident occurred around 9 a.m. when she received her boarding passes and accidentally said, “Thank you, sir,” to a flight attendant who identifies as a woman. Longoria expressed confusion and distress over the situation, insisting that her misgendering was unintentional.
United Airlines, however, provided a different account of the incident. In a statement to The Post, the airline said Longoria and her family were prohibited from boarding due to having too many carry-on items. Longoria vehemently denied this claim, calling it “an absolute lie” and maintaining that the altercation was solely about the pronoun slip-up.
