Basweti, who was listed as a wanted person, was exonerated on Wednesday after voluntarily presenting himself at the Kenyenya DCI offices and providing a statement.
Basweti denied any involvement in the occupy parliament protests that occurred last week. He explained to the authorities that the widely circulated photo, which had implicated him, was actually taken on June 10, 2024. On that date, he had visited the parliament premises at the invitation of his Member of Parliament, Hon. Silvanus Osoro.
