Kirk Franklin and Maverick City Music Set to Perform at Uhuru Gardens in August

Nairobi is set to be uplifted by a powerful wave of gospel music as Grammy award-winning artist Kirk Franklin and the celebrated gospel music group Maverick City Music are scheduled to perform at Uhuru Gardens on August 17. This highly anticipated event is part of Kirk Franklin’s extensive Kingdom World Tour, which has already made significant stops in Europe and Asia, with more stops planned across Africa.

In a recent interview, Kirk Franklin expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming concert, emphasizing the profound joy and gratitude he feels when fans take time out of their busy schedules to attend his performances. “I am excited about amplifying the message of the good news of Jesus Christ,” Franklin stated. “The thing that I want to say to the people coming is that we [receive] a lot of joy, pleasure, and gratitude when people take time out of their busy schedule to come see us and interact with us. And we won’t let them down.”

Franklin’s illustrious career in music spans over 32 years, during which he has amassed an impressive 20 Grammy awards. As the visionary behind The Family, the choir collective he founded in 1992, Franklin has carved out a unique and influential space in the gospel genre, inspiring countless listeners with his powerful music and message.

Joining Franklin on stage will be the five-time Grammy Award-winning music collective Maverick City Music, known for their innovative approach to gospel music and commitment to collaboration.
