Russian Forces Eliminate ISIS-Linked Detainees After Hostage Situation in Rostov-on-Don Detention Center

Russian forces have reportedly “eliminated” six detainees linked to the Islamic State (ISIS) after a hostage situation at a pre-trial detention center in Rostov-on-Don. The incident occurred on Sunday morning when the detainees held two employees hostage. The Federal Penitentiary Service in the Rostov region confirmed that the detainees were neutralized and the hostages were released unharmed. Some of the detainees involved were being held for terrorist crimes and had connections to ISIS, according to Russian state media agencies RIA Novosti and TASS.
