Popular YouTuber Shorn Arwa recently opened up about stepping away from her YouTube channel and her family’s temporary relocation to Dubai. Addressing her audience, the mother of one clarified that contrary to earlier assumptions, she and her husband had not permanently moved abroad.
“My husband and I decided to relocate, but it’s just for the holidays,” she explained in a video update. “I’ll be living in Dubai for a month before we decide what to do. I need a husband, and my son needs a father.”
Arwa revealed that juggling her responsibilities as a mother and wife contributed to her absence from YouTube. “I had a lot going on with family and friends. I wanted to be a good wife and mother because my husband was around. That took my focus away, and I’d forget about my YouTube channel,” she admitted, citing her demanding schedule managing six social media pages.
Before her brief Dubai stay, Arwa relocated to the UK in 2023, fulfilling a long-standing dream of moving abroad. However, the excitement of leaving Kenya quickly turned bittersweet. In a reflective moment, she shared, “The reality of leaving everything I’ve known hit me. My son won’t know what it’s like to grow up as a child in Kenya. I’ll miss those spontaneous trips to Mombasa or Malindi.”
Arwa, married to a Nigerian man, recounted their whirlwind love story. They met during a trip to Dubai, and after six months of dating, she traveled to Nigeria to meet him. “It was love at first sight. He was calm and collected, and I knew he was the one,” she said in an interview with Mungai Eve.
Addressing speculation about her marrying for wealth, Arwa candidly stated, “I’ve dated both rich and poor men, and rich is better. If you find someone with money and both of you are willing, why not? Love will come along the way.”
The YouTuber recently shared the joyous news of becoming a mother, marking a new chapter in her journey as she balances family, social media, and future aspirations.
