Size 8 Opens Up About Separation from DJ Mo: A Testament to Her Belief in Marriage

Gospel singer Linet Munyali, better known by her stage name Size 8, has always been an open book when it comes to her life and faith. Recently, the singer has made headlines after revealing that she and her husband, Samuel Muraya, popularly known as DJ Mo, have decided to separate. Despite this difficult decision, Size 8 remains steadfast in her belief in the institution of marriage, which she considers to be divinely ordained.

Speaking candidly on TV 47, Size 8 discussed the painful journey that led her to seek separation from her husband. She emphasized that this decision was not made lightly, and that she had exhausted all possible avenues to save her marriage before arriving at this point. For Size 8, the separation was a last resort, not a sign of defeat or a rejection of the principles she holds dear.

“I am a firm believer in marriage and it’s an institution orchestrated by God the Father,” she said during the interview. “Most of you wondered, you are a minister of the highest God, why would you put it on Instagram that you are trying singlehood? First of all, before I reached that point, I had gone through all options I could possibly think of and I don’t hate Mr. Muraya (DJ Mo) at all, I love him dearly. If you cut my heart only Mo will skip out of it.”

Her words resonated with many of her followers, who have seen her as a role model in both her music career and her personal life. Size 8’s openness about her ongoing love for DJ Mo, despite their separation, reflects the complexity of relationships and the challenges that even the most committed couples can face.

Size 8 also made it clear that the separation does not mean she has given up on the idea of reconciliation. On the contrary, she expressed hope that, if it is God’s will, they might find their way back to each other.

“Sometimes things work and sometimes they don’t like right now we are in a bit of a crisis but I am open. If God will bring reconciliation that will be my dream, if God will bring reconstruction in my marriage that will be my dream,” she shared. Her words underscore a deep sense of faith and a belief that, even in times of difficulty, there is always room for healing and growth.

The singer’s journey to this point has been anything but easy. She admitted that settling on separation was a painful and challenging decision. However, she remains at peace with her choice, free from bitterness, and hopeful for the future.

“For me to reach here, it was not an easy decision but I thank God I am not bitter in any way. I’m not ashamed to say I’m still very in love with Muraya but where I am the separation is the best way out.”

Size 8’s message to her fans and followers was clear: marriage is worth fighting for, but sometimes, separation is necessary when all other options have been exhausted. She encouraged those who are struggling in their marriages to seek help and not to give up too quickly. However, she also advised against rushing into divorce, suggesting that it should be the last resort after all efforts at reconciliation have failed.

“If you are watching me wherever you are, don’t give up on your home very quickly, take time to seek help, and when you seek all options and it refuses, then you can seek for a separation and don’t be too fast to go for divorce.”
