Bayern Munich staged a strong comeback to secure a 3-1 victory over Stuttgart, maintaining their commanding position at the top of the Bundesliga. The win took Bayern to 61 points, extending their lead to 11 points over second-placed Bayer Leverkusen, though they have played one match more.
Stuttgart initially took the lead in the 34th minute when Angelo Stiller unleashed a powerful left-footed shot from the edge of the box, sending the ball into the top corner. However, Bayern responded just before halftime. Michael Olise made a perfectly timed run and finished with precision in stoppage time, bringing the visitors level.
In the second half, Bayern completed the turnaround in the 64th minute. Leon Goretzka capitalized on a defensive lapse inside the box, intercepting the ball and slotting it home to give his side a 2-1 lead. As Stuttgart pushed for an equalizer, they were punished for another mistake. In the final minutes, Josha Vagnoman attempted to play the ball back to goalkeeper Alexander Nübel, but Kingsley Coman intercepted the pass and calmly scored from distance to seal the victory.
Meanwhile, in Serie A, Fiorentina secured a much-needed win after three games without a victory, defeating Lecce 1-0. The decisive goal came early, as Robin Gosens connected with a deep cross from Brazilian full-back Dodô and powered a header into the net in the ninth minute.
Fiorentina had opportunities to extend their lead, particularly in the 73rd minute when they were awarded a penalty for a handball. However, Lucas Beltrán’s effort struck the post, denying the hosts a second goal. Beltrán was unlucky again in the closing stages when another of his attempts hit the woodwork.
The victory moved Fiorentina into sixth place, boosting their hopes of securing European qualification. Lecce, on the other hand, remained 16th, four points above the relegation zone and still searching for their first win in four matches.
