The 2025 WRC Safari Rally has received a significant financial boost as excitement builds up for the upcoming Naivasha showdown. A total of Ksh.7.1 million has been injected into the 2025 World Rally Championship (WRC) Safari Rally Kenya, reinforcing the commitment to supporting local sports.
This investment aligns with a recently launched foundation that prioritizes initiatives driving positive community impact. The sponsorship will facilitate the installation of floodlights at the Safari Rally Service Park and enhance electricity supply to the Morendat Safari Rally Village. These efforts aim to improve access to power for rally fans and ensure smooth operations throughout the event.
Participation in the WRC Safari Rally underscores the belief in the power of sports to bring people together and create lasting impact. As the official lighting partner, there is a commitment to ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply at the service center, allowing teams to work seamlessly while also enabling rally fans to stay connected by charging their phones and gadgets.
The Safari Rally Service Centre, situated at the Wildlife Research and Training Institute (WRTI) in Naivasha, serves as the nerve center for vehicle maintenance and repairs during the rally. Enhanced lighting at the site will enable service teams to carry out crucial work around the clock, minimizing downtime and ensuring peak performance.
Beyond lighting infrastructure, plans include establishing an exhibition pavilion at the Morendat Spectator Village. This space will showcase the latest advancements in electric mobility (E-mobility) and electric cooking (E-cooking), emphasizing a commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
The pavilion will double as a free charging station for electric vehicles, motorbikes, and mobile devices, ensuring fans remain powered throughout the event. Additionally, the platform will be used to engage with attendees, offering insights into energy transition initiatives and a range of customer services.
This event is seen as an opportunity to engage with the public, educate them on the benefits of E-cooking and E-mobility, and address their energy concerns. The commitment to powering Kenya extends beyond electricity supply, actively driving the shift towards sustainable energy solutions.
The 2025 WRC Safari Rally is expected to draw a massive global audience, with over 120 million viewers tuning in across 70 countries via 43 international media partners. This investment ensures the event is well-lit, efficiently powered, and a memorable experience for both fans and participants alike.
