Burnley’s impressive run of clean sheets in the Championship finally came to an end on Tuesday night, but they continued their push for promotion with a 2-1 victory over Cardiff.
Yousef Salech’s firm header in the 42nd minute ended Burnley’s streak of 1,132 minutes without conceding in the league a run of 12 consecutive clean sheets. However, early goals from Josh Brownhill and Maxime Estève had already put Scott Parker’s side in control. The win keeps them two points behind second-placed Sheffield United.
Hull secured a vital 2-0 win over fellow strugglers Plymouth, marking their first home victory of the year. The result lifted Hull to 19th place, while Plymouth’s away struggles continued, extending their winless run on the road to 18 matches.

Bradford took advantage of Walsall’s slip, moving within two points of the top after a dominant 3-0 home win over Cheltenham. George Lapslie scored twice, with Michael Mellon also finding the net.
