Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker has released a statement denying allegations of sexual misconduct while receiving treatment from massage therapists. However, he also issued an apology, expressing regret that anyone he worked with may not have felt respected or valued.
“It devastates me to know that anyone I have worked with would not have felt respected and valued as a professional, but more importantly as a person, and to anyone who has felt otherwise, I am sorry,” Tucker said. “I want you to know I am committed to ensuring that everyone I interact with continues to feel that I respect them and care about them as a human being.”
Reports have emerged that multiple massage therapists from different spas and wellness centers in the Baltimore area have accused Tucker of inappropriate sexual behavior. The Ravens’ general manager has described the allegations as serious and concerning, while the NFL is actively investigating the claims.
When the accusations first surfaced last month, Tucker responded by stating that he had never received any complaints from a massage therapist or been informed that he was unwelcome at any establishment. In his latest statement, he described the allegations as shocking and heartbreaking.
“I maintain I did not act inappropriately at any point before, during, or after a professional bodywork treatment session, nor have I ever been told I am unwelcome at any massage therapy provider. These claims are simply not true,” he said. “Throughout the last four weeks, I have spent countless hours replaying every interaction I have had with bodywork professionals over the last 13 years. I can assure whoever is reading this that I have never intended to disrespect anyone, cross any boundary, or make anyone feel uncomfortable in any way whatsoever.”
The allegations include claims that Tucker exposed himself, brushed therapists with his genitals, and left ejaculate on treatment tables. Two spas have reportedly banned him from returning. One therapist described his alleged behavior as degrading, while another stated that the experience had made it difficult to watch sports.
Tucker has built a reputation as one of the greatest kickers in NFL history. He holds records for the longest field goal and highest career field-goal percentage. Since joining the Ravens in 2012 as an undrafted free agent, he has been named to the Pro Bowl multiple times. In addition to his football career, he has gained recognition for his performances as an amateur opera singer.
As the investigation continues, Tucker remains adamant that the allegations against him are false.
