Stephen Kasolo Credits Wife for a Fulfilling Marriage: “She Cleaned Me Up”

Kamba gospel singer Stephen Kasolo recently opened up about his fulfilling marriage, attributing much of his happiness and transformation to his wife. The celebrated musician, known for his uplifting gospel hits, revealed that his wife has been a significant influence in his life, helping him navigate the complexities of fame and personal life.

Kasolo married his wife in 2023, and since then, he has been enjoying the blessings of married life. In a heartfelt revelation, the singer shared, “God has really blessed me. She is so beautiful, Wa Kamba hatuoangi sura mbaya. If you are Kamba, you must marry a girl who ambaye ata kukandua.” His words reflect not only his deep admiration for his wife but also a cultural pride in the beauty and strength of Kamba women.

However, being in the public eye comes with its own set of challenges. Kasolo addressed the persistent rumors and speculations about his marriage, setting the record straight. He emphasized that the lives of celebrities are often subject to scrutiny and online discussions, but not all that is said holds truth. “Mafans saa zingine si lazima mtuambie vile tunaishi. Keep your comments, keep your nonsense. Msieke maneno kwa moyo. Maana itawaumiza. Mke wangu kaniosha,” he said, urging fans to refrain from unnecessary speculation and respect their privacy.

Kasolo’s marriage, however, has not been without its share of public interest. Fans often question why he doesn’t appear in public with his wife. Addressing this, Kasolo explained, “Sitaishi vile mafans wanataka. If you see a celebrity alone, you don’t know the reason. Maybe they are at work, ama pengine wameachana, ama pengine hataki mwanamke wake aonekane na watu. Have you ever seen Churchill’s wife? Simjui. So inategemea tu.” He highlighted that every couple has their reasons for how they manage their public and private lives, and these choices should be respected.

Despite the rumors, Kasolo remains unfazed. He brushed off the speculations with a touch of humor, saying, “Sasa nikitembea na yeye atakuwa wako? Nikitembea na yeye atakuletea nini? Kwa nini tuwachane? Tuko sawa.” His light-hearted approach underscores his confidence in his relationship and his disregard for baseless rumors. He advised those who engage in gossip to be mindful, as it could only lead to their own distress: “Utaumia!”

In a somber moment, Kasolo also took time to mourn the loss of his longtime friend, the late media personality Mercy Mawia. He eulogized her, recalling their close friendship and the many moments they shared. “We used to joke a lot, we were so close. I was in Kitui with her and she hugged me. We chatted last week, and we always share audios or videos of events. It is a sad loss to us,” Kasolo shared. Mercy Mawia leaves behind a child and a husband, adding to the grief of her sudden passing.

Stephen Kasolo’s journey as a married man and a public figure offers a glimpse into the balancing act between personal happiness and public perception. His candid revelations about his wife and his views on handling fame provide a refreshing perspective on the often intrusive nature of celebrity life. Through it all, Kasolo remains grounded, grateful, and focused on the blessings in his life, particularly the love and support of his wife.
