The annual Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain, commenced on Monday, March 3, bringing together industry leaders to chart the future of intelligent solutions in the digital era. Huawei, a key participant at the event, unveiled its AI-Centric Network solution, aimed at revolutionizing network capabilities and enhancing user experience through artificial intelligence (AI).
Huawei’s Director of the Board, Yang Chaobin, highlighted the rapid emergence of high-quality, low-cost, and open-source AI models, which he believes will fuel innovative applications and accelerate the transition to an intelligent world. According to Yang, personalized user experiences will drive intelligent collaboration in organizations, fostering an inclusive intelligence framework for all.
The Chinese tech giant is positioning itself as a leading force in AI-driven network transformation. At the MWC summit, Yang emphasized that AI will not only expand network AI services but also create new opportunities for carriers and telecom networks, serving as catalysts for the intelligent era.
“Huawei’s AI-Centric Network solution is designed to address these needs. It revolutionizes network capabilities to enable all-domain connectivity. It will power a shift towards application-oriented O&M (operations and maintenance) and will reshape telecom service and business models to take full advantage of new opportunities presented by AI,” said Yang.
The AI-Centric Network solution is structured around four key pillars: all-domain connectivity, application-oriented O&M, enhanced AI-to-X services, and innovative business models. These elements work together to optimize network performance, prevent faults, and introduce AI-driven efficiency into telecom networks.
Huawei’s vision for the AI era aligns with the industry’s goal of maximizing AI’s potential to enhance 5G networks. The company is advocating for broader collaboration within the telecom sector to fully unlock AI-driven innovations.
Li Peng, Huawei’s Corporate Senior Vice President, urged global carriers to integrate AI into their network strategies. “By embracing and evolving 5G, we can unlock the infinite potential of mobile networks. Huawei is willing and ready to work with carriers and industry partners worldwide to promote digital enablement, reinforce network foundations, and bring AI to all. Together, we can shape the DNA for an intelligent world,” he stated.
As the digital landscape evolves, Huawei’s AI-centric approach aims to redefine telecom services, paving the way for a future where AI-driven networks enhance connectivity, reliability, and user experiences worldwide.
