TelCables Upgrades South African Backbone Network to 800 Gbps

TelCables Southern Africa, a subsidiary of Angola Cables, has announced a significant upgrade to its backbone network infrastructure in South Africa. The upgrade, from 500 Gbps to 800 Gbps, aims to meet the burgeoning demand for cloud and data services across the region, enhancing connectivity and performance for local ISPs, content delivery networks, and international operators.

Mahen Naidu, Head of Business Solutions at TelCables South Africa, emphasized the strategic importance of this upgrade in accommodating the rapidly growing traffic over their network.
