Kenyan influencer and entrepreneur Thee Pluto has recently shared details of his ambitious new project—a near-complete apartment complex. Thee Pluto, known for his laid-back demeanor and business acumen, is making a significant investment in his future by building rental properties. His latest venture, situated along Kenyatta Road, comprises 18 bedsitter apartments and two one-bedroom units.
In a social media post, Thee Pluto expressed his excitement and determination, stating, “Project 2, about to be an apartment landlord in Kenyatta Road after the completion of these 18 bedsitter and 2 one bedrooms, Inshallah. A wise man once told me that a man’s ego is determined by two things: the car he drives and the women he rolls out with. I beg to differ and add a third point: the project he involves himself in also matters. Rome was not built in a day.”
Thee Pluto’s journey to this point has been anything but easy. He candidly shared the struggles and sacrifices involved in reaching this milestone, recounting a particularly challenging moment in Maai Mahiu. “It has been a lot of hustle (it still is and will be), lots of sacrifices, sleepless nights, and struggles to repay some bank loans in an effort to create generational wealth,” he revealed. “I remember one day while in Maai Mahiu when my mum alikua anachapa hustle kwa kibanda akaniuliza rent (2500) tutatoa wapi, I told her siku moja itajipa na nitakuja jenga ghorofa ya rentals. Keep dreaming until it becomes a reality. Gift no 2 to my family delivered.”
Despite his successes, Thee Pluto has faced significant backlash, particularly when he shared a glimpse of a home he is building for his family last year. Skeptics were quick to question the authenticity of his claims. In response, Thee Pluto took his followers on a virtual tour of the house, addressing the negative comments head-on. “Sometimes when someone posts something like a car, a house, or an achievement, people have different notions. Some see it as bragging,” he noted. “If you ask me the secret to my journey, I will tell you it’s God.”
Thee Pluto has also been open about his struggles with mental health, particularly during times of intense online criticism. He shared, “Do you guys remember me telling you that I am depressed and all that? Manze, I was being attacked online by people who I deemed as friends, ikakuwa noma. I was so depressed. But when you find God in your heart, from that time I began to become prayerful. So from that time, I had less courage to do content, but guys, I am back.”
As a Forex and binary trader, Thee Pluto acknowledges the significant financial commitment required to furnish the new apartments, calling it a “heavy investment.” Despite facing criticism, particularly from TikToker Truthwatchdog, who claimed Thee Pluto was renting and did not own the property, Thee Pluto remains steadfast. In his Instagram stories, he addressed the skepticism, stating, “Without even saying it’s mine or not mine or whatever, critics walishajaa online. Because the imagination of it could be mine ilikuwa inawaua sana they had to seek validation and second of fame. Hakuna kitu mbaya kama kuchanganya umaskini na wivu.”
However, Thee Pluto remains buoyed by the overwhelming support from his fans. He expressed his gratitude, saying, “But the love of my fans is always overwhelming in the comments section. Nawalombotov sana. I love my life being a mystery. So I’ll answer this: ‘It’s a lifetime Airbnb.’ Tuachie mungu atende makuu.”
Thee Pluto’s journey exemplifies resilience and the power of dreaming big. His story is a reminder that with determination and faith, even the loftiest of dreams can become reality.
