Air Canada has officially launched its latest Air Canada Café at Montréal-Trudeau International Airport, enhancing the travel experience for domestic passengers with a premium grab-and-go option. The new café, located near Gate A2, is designed to provide convenience and comfort to eligible customers, offering a stylish space with locally inspired food and beverage options. This marks the third Air Canada Café location and reinforces the airline’s commitment to enhancing its premium lounge services at its Montréal hub.
The Air Canada Café concept blends modern amenities with Montréal’s vibrant café culture, creating an inviting space for busy travelers who need a quick yet high-quality meal before their flight. With a carefully curated menu that showcases some of Montréal’s most iconic flavors, the café offers a selection of self-serve beverages, fresh salads, mini cheese boards, vegetarian wraps, and warm pastries. Notably, travelers can indulge in Montréal’s signature bagels and smoked meat sandwiches, bringing a taste of the city to the airport experience. The self-serve beverage station features a range of options, including locally brewed beers, cider, non-alcoholic drinks, and Lavazza specialty coffees, catering to a variety of preferences.
Designed with efficiency in mind, the café allows eligible passengers to enter by simply scanning their boarding passes at the eGates. The space spans 2,700 square feet and accommodates up to 58 passengers, providing a comfortable and productive environment with power outlets, USB-C charging ports, and seating areas tailored for working or relaxation. The design, a collaboration with the Montréal-based firm Provencher Roy, reflects the essence of the city’s contemporary café culture. The aesthetic features custom artwork by Montréal-born artist Melanie Authier, as well as elegant lighting fixtures designed and manufactured in Québec.
Jacqueline Harkness, Air Canada’s Managing Director of Product & Services, highlighted the airline’s vision for the café, emphasizing its role in offering a premium experience that caters to the needs of frequent travelers. She noted that every aspect of the café is crafted for both productivity and comfort, ensuring a seamless experience for those looking to grab a quality meal on the go. Vincent Hauspy, a partner at Provencher Roy, expressed pride in collaborating with Air Canada, stating that the café captures the unique spirit of Montréal, making it an appealing space for both Canadian and international travelers.
ADM Aéroports de Montréal Vice President Philippe Stas also welcomed the new café, emphasizing its role in elevating the domestic travel experience at the airport. He pointed out that the addition of this premium offering aligns with the broader goal of ensuring that Montréal-Trudeau International Airport meets the standards of world-class international hubs.
Access to the Air Canada Café is available to passengers traveling in business class, as well as Aeroplan 50K, 75K, and Super Elite status members, Star Alliance Gold customers, and Aeroplan premium co-brand cardholders. The café is part of Air Canada’s larger strategy to modernize and expand its lounge network. By the end of 2025, the airline aims to add more than 500 additional lounge seats worldwide, focusing on customer comfort, accessibility, and enhanced design. This latest expansion reinforces Air Canada’s ongoing investment in improving the airport experience for its premium travelers.
