BermudAir, the boutique airline offering connections between Bermuda and North America, has taken a significant step in expanding its accessibility to travelers and travel advisors. Through a new integration with Hahn Air, BermudAir flights are now available for booking in the Amadeus and Travelport global distribution systems (GDSs). This advancement allows travel agents to secure flights through Hahn Air’s HR-169 ticket stock, simplifying the booking process for customers looking to experience the airline’s growing network.
Since its launch in late 2023, BermudAir has positioned itself as a key player in Bermuda’s aviation landscape, catering to travelers seeking direct and convenient access to the island. The airline currently operates year-round flights from Bermuda to five major U.S. destinations: Baltimore, Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and White Plains, New York. This strategic route selection ensures connectivity for both leisure and business travelers, supporting Bermuda’s tourism industry and its economy.
As the airline continues to evolve, it has ambitious plans to expand its network further. Between April and July, BermudAir is set to introduce seasonal service to additional U.S. destinations, including Hartford, Connecticut; Charleston, South Carolina; Richmond, Virginia; Providence, Rhode Island; and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. These routes are expected to enhance accessibility to Bermuda from key regional markets, broadening the airline’s reach and strengthening its presence in the North American travel sector.
Beyond the United States, BermudAir has also made inroads into the Canadian market. The airline currently serves Toronto and Halifax, with plans to add Montreal to its network in the near future. This expansion aligns with growing demand for travel between Bermuda and Canada, particularly among vacationers and business travelers looking for seamless, direct connections.
BermudAir initially entered the market with an all-business-class concept, setting itself apart from traditional carriers by focusing on premium service and comfort. However, as part of its ongoing adaptation to market demands, the airline has since transitioned to a two-cabin configuration. Operating with Embraer E175 and E190 regional aircraft, BermudAir now provides both business and economy class options, ensuring a balance between affordability and premium service. This shift allows the airline to appeal to a broader customer base while maintaining its commitment to offering a high-quality travel experience.
The inclusion of BermudAir flights in major GDS platforms marks a milestone in the airline’s growth, enabling more travel professionals to book and manage reservations efficiently. With its expanding route network and commitment to customer-focused service, BermudAir is poised to become a vital link between Bermuda and its key markets in North America. As the airline continues to refine its operations and expand its presence, travelers can expect more opportunities to experience the beauty and culture of Bermuda with greater convenience and ease.
