In Nairobi’s Kibera slums, a middle-aged man lost his life in a gruesome train accident. Witnesses reported that the man was lying across the railway tracks when a commuter train traveling from Nairobi Central Railway Station to Limuru ran over him. His body was badly mutilated, with amputated limbs and severe head injuries. The body has been moved to the mortuary for identification and autopsy.
Tragedy also struck Kaptumo village in Nandi County, where a four-month-old baby was burnt to death in a house fire. His six-year-old sister narrowly escaped after stepping outside to play. Police suspect the candle was the cause of the fire, and investigations are ongoing.
