In 2024, Kenya recorded 27,396 Australian visitors, a figure that the government is keen to increase through enhanced marketing and direct engagement with the Australian travel industry. As part of her visit, CS Miano will meet with leading tour operators and key stakeholders in Australian cities, reinforcing Kenya’s commitment to strengthening tourism ties. She underscored that Kenya’s tourism strategy includes a strong focus on culture, adventure, and sustainable travel, areas of increasing interest among Australian travelers.

Through the “Ziara Kenya: One Diaspora, One Tourist” initiative, the government is encouraging the Kenyan diaspora to become ambassadors for the country’s tourism industry.
