Travelport, a leading global technology company, has partnered with Emirates, one of the world’s largest international airlines, to launch an enhanced New Distribution Capability (NDC) content and servicing solution on the Travelport+ platform. This collaboration promises to revolutionize how travel agents can access and service Emirates’ offerings, providing them with dynamic new opportunities to personalize travel experiences for their clients.
The integration of Emirates’ NDC content into Travelport+ gives travel agencies access to a richer and more diverse array of travel options that go beyond traditional distribution channels. This includes the ability to view and compare exclusive offers, including ancillaries, that are available only via the Emirates NDC channel. This move enhances the flexibility of travel agents to offer tailored packages to their customers, whether it’s upgrading seats, adding extra baggage, or booking special services, all directly from Emirates.
Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates, shared his enthusiasm about the partnership, saying, “Agencies using Travelport+ will now have access to better, more enriched content that is only available via the Emirates NDC channel. The integration of our systems will strengthen the expansion of our reach across the global travel retail community and allow them to offer travelers more choice among our best-in-class products and services.”
In addition to giving travel agents access to richer content, Travelport’s NDC solution goes a step further by enabling agencies to manage and service NDC bookings directly within the Travelport+ platform. This includes features such as booking modifications and cancellations, which provide travel agents with the necessary tools to support their clients throughout the booking lifecycle. This seamless servicing capability is a key differentiator for Travelport, allowing agents to deliver a higher level of customer care and operational efficiency.
Jason Clarke, Chief Commercial Officer of Travel Partners at Travelport, emphasized the significance of this development: “We are leading the way in delivering Emirates’ NDC content to travel retailers and giving agents the ability to compare and book the best offers and ancillaries available from Emirates on Travelport+. This pivotal NDC milestone with Emirates proves Travelport is at the forefront of modern retailing with our ability to provide the best content and cutting-edge tools that agents require to create superior booking and servicing experiences for their customers.”
The new NDC content and servicing solution is currently available to travel agencies in select markets, including Australia, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom. However, this is just the beginning. In the coming weeks, access will be expanded to additional countries, allowing more travel agents worldwide to benefit from this enhanced offering.
This partnership is a significant step forward in the evolution of travel retailing. As the travel industry continues to move toward more personalized and tech-driven solutions, Travelport’s integration of Emirates’ NDC content marks a milestone in modernizing the way travel agents interact with suppliers. By providing agencies with better tools and more dynamic content, Travelport is empowering agents to deliver superior experiences and meet the evolving demands of travelers.
With NDC at the core of this collaboration, both Travelport and Emirates are poised to lead the way in reshaping the future of travel bookings, ensuring that both agents and travelers can enjoy an enhanced, seamless journey from start to finish.
