Governor Orengo, in a statement on X (formerly Twitter), expressed gratitude to the people of Kisumu for their hospitality and reiterated his belief in the potential for a unified and prosperous Kenya. “Thank you, Kisumu County, for the love. A united, prosperous Kenya is achievable,” Orengo stated, highlighting the importance of cross-party collaboration in the pursuit of national progress.
A Call for Youth Empowerment
During his address in Kondele, President Ruto emphasized his administration’s commitment to youth empowerment through the revival of the Kazi Mtaani program, a government initiative aimed at providing short-term employment opportunities to young people. “Nataka niwaambie vijana, hio Kazi mtaani baada ya mwezi mmoja mjipange. Mtajipanga? I want to tell the young people that after one month, start preparing for Kazi Mtaani. Will you prepare yourselves?” Ruto asked, drawing cheers from the crowd. Na rais amesema Kenya tushikane tusonge mbele,” Gachagua stated.
