The University of Nairobi (UoN) celebrated a significant achievement as two of its students, Lindsey Asiome and Mercy Kamau, emerged victorious at the 2024 Firdaous Integrated Services (FIS) International Humanitarian Law Moot. The duo not only clinched the Best Overall Team trophy but also secured the Best Memorial award, with Lindsey Asiome earning the prestigious title of Best Oralist.

The competition, held at the Ahmadu Bello University Moot Court Room in Nigeria, saw participation from universities across Africa. Cavendish University Uganda, represented by Perl Katondwaki, finished as the first runners-up. The event was presided over by a distinguished panel of judges, including Ruth Ifeoluwa Bolaji (Legal Adviser, ICRC Nigerian Delegation), Swaleh Hemed (Moot Problem Author), and Dr. Imam-Muslim Farra’u.
